Baseball has been part of my life since I was 3 years old. I played at the junior college, NAIA, and Division II levels, then played Indy Ball in the CBL. The journey forced me to constantly adapt, rebuild myself, and learn the deeper side of hitting beyond just mechanics.
When I lost my dad at 16, everything changed. I had to figure out baseball, life, and myself on my own. I became obsessed with improving, more swings, more reps, more trial and error. Over time I realized something: most hitters don't struggle because they aren't working hard enough. They struggle because they don't understand what their body is doing.
That's why I coach the way I do today. No random drills, no copy paste instruction. Hitters improve faster when they understand their movement patterns, learn what to feel, receive honest feedback, and build confidence through structure and awareness. Beyond baseball, I want the lessons athletes learn here, discipline, awareness, accountability, resilience, to translate far beyond the batter's box. VPLAZ.HITS was built to help athletes stop guessing, build real confidence, and develop swings that actually transfer into games and life.
